When Water Testing Results Are Available

Water samples are taken daily by Toronto Public Health. They are released the next day. The time of release has ranged from 9:15am to 3pm.

As Of is the date when the sample was taken. The Publish Date will be the next day.

This app checks for updated results daily starting at 9am and every 15 minutes from that time until they are available. The app automatically refreshes the Home page every 15 minutes

  1. Go to Home page.

  2. Tap menu button (3 vertical dots in upper right corner).

  3. Tap Page option.

  4. Tap Add to Home Screen.

  5. This icon can be dragged around like any other icon.

Android/Chrome
  1. Go to Home page.

  2. Tap Menu button (3 vertical dots in upper right corner).

  3. Tap Add to homescreen.

  4. Use TO Safe Beach as the name for Home Screen icon.

  5. Tap ADD.

  6. A message will appear saying it was added to your Home Screen.

  7. When the icon is tapped the web site opens up in full page mode - no status bar - no address bar.

  8. This icon can be dragged around like any other icon.

iOS/Safari
  1. Go to Home page.

  2. At the bottom or top of the screen look for a box with arrow pointing to the top of the screen.

  3. Tap the box/arrow.

  4. Tap Add to Home Screen.

  5. Use TO Safe Beach as the caption or change it to what you want.

  6. Tap Add (upper right corner).

  7. Icon is added and it can be moved just as any other icon.

  8. Note: Safari on iPhone and iPad caches the Home page so on opening from the Home Screen may not show updated E. Coli counts.
